Department of Secondry Education Social Areas established in 2002/2003 education year. There is no graduate programme in our department. In 1998, with the project of “Newly Configuration  of Education Faculties”, opened 3 new master programmes without thesis on teacher cultivation in the organisation of Social Sciences Institute. Names of the programmes are, Turkish language and Literature Teaching, History Teaching and Philosophy Group Teaching. In 2010 YOK gived a right to the Science and Literature Faculties students about taking pedagogic formation for being a teacher, the programmes that said above has been closed with this decision. Thus department became passive. In 2012/2013 education year  fall term, there is a new master programme with thesis established. With new History Teaching master programme, department became more active. Our purpose is, to cultivate new academicians that cognisant about  scientific and critic thinking , enough for human rights and moral, dynamic and flexible thinking, equipped in terms of personal and professional knowledge, open minded to new ideas, making effort for progress, effective role about developing his/her company and him/herself, know about approaches, aims, targets and rules of own special teaching area.
